Walking tour of the area of the Krakow's former ghetto

At 12 noon and 2pm

One of the elements of commemorating the victims of Krakow's ghetto will be a walking tour with a licenced tour guide. Together we will visit places related to the history of the uprising, the functioning and the liquidation of the Jewish ghetto in the Krakow's district of Podgórze. We will see the most important buildings, monuments and squares which, during the Second World War, became the sites of suffering of the Jewish population of Krakow. During the tour we will also provide information on the most important personas related to the Krakow's ghetto - heroes such as Oscar Schindler and Tadeusz Pankiewicz, as well as the inhabitants of the ghetto and their post-war fates.

The walk will cover the area of the district od Podgórze - we will see the Ghetto Heroes' Square, the last remaining pieces of the ghetto wall, the Museum of Oscar Schindler as well as the Apteka pod Orłem (Pharmacy under the Eagle).

The tour begins at the Ghetto Heroes' Square.
