Message from a Merciful God: Judaism - Christianity - Islam: A meeting on the 50th anniversary of the "Nostra Aetate"

18:00 h
03 Dec

On the 50th anniversary of the "Nostra Aetate" (the declaration of the RomanCatholic Church on its stance towards non-Christian religions), as part of the "Courtyard of Dialogue" initiative, three representatives of the Catholic Church, Islam and Judaism will meet: Rabbi Natan Levy (London), Imam Janusz Aleksandrowicz (Kruszyniany), and Bishop Grzegorz Ryś (Kraków).

The idea of the "Courtyard of Dialogue" comes from the space of the Jerusalem Temple, whose courtyard was open to anyone as a place of meetings and dialogue. The Krakow's "Courtyard of Dialog" is a place for believers and non-believers, an attempt of finding a common ground for finding mutual values of different religions and cultures. The inauguration of the Courtyard of Pagans took place in 2012.
The organizers of this initiative include: The John Paul II Intercultural Dialogue Institute, the Archdiocese of Krakow, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, the John Paul II Papal University of Krakow, the Jewish Community Centre of Krakow and "The Covenant" – a Jewish-Christian Club.

The meeting will take place in the auditorium at the Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University at 24 Gołębia Street.
