Purim is coming!

Purim commemorates the survival of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian Empire.

The Book of Esther is read in synagogue during Purim. According to tradition, Jews wear costumes, and celebrate, but also give charity to those in need. It is customary to eat triangular pastries called Hamantaschen ("Haman's pockets").

On March 13, two days before Purim, JCC Krakow would like to invite you to two events connected to this holiday.

Why Jews are Encouraged to get Drunk on Purim: Members of the JCC Student Club "Gimel" will talk about Purim customs.

Cost: Free

Purim Cuisine: A culinary workshop with Maria Niziołek.

Our Purim menu will be colorful and fun! Naturally, we will prepare traditional Hamantaschen with different fillings.
