Israeli Films Review

We would like to invite you for  Israeli Films Review, which will take place in the JCC in July.
Below you will find the program and a description of the films. All the films will be in Hebrew with  English subtitles.

The Israeli Movies Review Program is hosted  by Ido Lewit, a graduate in Philosophy and Film Theory from Tel-Aviv University.

July 13th, at 7pm
– The House on Chelouche St. (Moshe Mizrahi, 1973. The film was one of the first cinematic efforts to give respectful perspective of the none-European jews in Israel)

July 15th, at 7pm
– The Wooden Gun  (Ilan Moshenzon, 1979. The film deals with the problem of the memory of the Holocaust and the implementation of militarism in the Israeli society.

July 20th, at 7pm
– Crazy Mud  (Dror Shaul, 2006. The film shows the different sides of the Utopean Kibbutz movement)

July 22nd, at 7pm
– Total love  (Uri Zohar, 1964. A weird trip of avantgarde, critisicm comedy and Israelism. The best Israeli art-film ever)
– A Hole in The moon (Gur Bentvich, 2000. The film depics the lives of young tel-Avivians and their persuit of love and drugs)

July 27th, at 7pm
– Year Zero (Yosef Pichadze, 2004. A fantastic drama that brings critical view of the economic reality and it's affects on human properties)
